Maram Is a life’s purpose more than a business I have tried to incorporate recycling, up scaling and reupholstery as a part of my life.
Wood is our business, but it is in a limited quantity and it should be respected as such. If we can up scale modify or re-use then it is our quest to do so.
Growing up abroad I have seen beautiful wood craftings in south east Asia rustic tribal African art as well as gentle refined skills of European and the simplistic American styling.
Indian furniture incorporates all the styles bought in by our colonial ancestors especially the Portuguese and the English
Traditional Indian furniture has beautiful botanical carvings as well as many intricate religious symbols.
Maram specialises in curating only furniture and carvings from 4 South Indian states Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala.
We personally love the feel and look of the original caine for our humid climate we truly believe the back of the sitting area to breathe . Generally lasts between 4 to 8 years and give furniture authentic colonial feel. we encourage our clients to choose and match to fabric of the furniture to give our clients their own special look and feel to make that homes an original.
